A notable phone we have evaluated is the Nokia 3560, a phone that was designed to compete this year's market. Launched around 01/4/2003 the 3560 supports the networks AMPS 800 / TDMA 800 / 1900. Measuring only 118 x 50 x 23 mm and having a weight of only 107 g, this item's size will satisfy its most skeptic users. This cell phone comes with a 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery, enabling a talk time of 6.50 hours and lasts in standby around 228 hours. Its engineers included a 600 KB memory, just enough for a regular use! The large screen is capable of setting wallpapers of 96 x 65 px. Nokia has designed its 3560 with a 4 chords capable ringtones, ready for you to add tons of ringers.

The gaming system included in the Nokia 3560 runs on J2ME, which supports many fun games! Not surprisingly, being standard in all cell phone, the 3560 enables both SMS and EMS. The calendar available is very easy to use and Nokia equipped it with a phone book having a contact list capacity of 250. The predictive text system is based on the T9 technology, being very easy to use. The data transfer is using the GPRS (Class 6) technology. Audio Playback:

The Nokia 3560 does not come with an MP3 player. This phone comes with built in polyphonic ringtones, which means you can download simple MIDI files from the Internet and upload them through your phone, or simply download them via GRPS (if GRPS is built in). We do not recommend purchasing polyphonic ringtones from pay-per-use services such as television commercials, because the 3560 is capable of receiving them as MIDI files which are common on the Internet.

 

Video and Picture Taking:

The Nokia 3560 is not equipped with a camera or a video recording function.

 

Messaging and Internet:

The Nokia 3560 is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone. Unfortunately, there is no MMS capability. On top of sending messages, the Nokia 3560 is equipped with intelligent t9 typing, which allows you to easily type text messages without pressing each key upto 4 times for the correct letter.

 

The Nokia 3560 comes fully equipped with a WAP browser, and additionally an HTML browser for normal web page surfing.. including support for java.

Connectivity and Interactivity: With the 3560, you can't really do much when connecting to other devices, since it's USB capabilities are limited to nill.
